Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II in the United States. You will perform PMs, DOT inspections, and repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field setting, using a company truck and iOS documentation tools.

Requires a High School Diploma or GED, ASE T8 within 18 months, and DOT safety requirements. A valid driver's license is required; competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years of related field experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Own a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
• ASE certification T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment background check and DOT physical required before employment.
• Must be at least 21 years old due to interstate commerce.
• Valid state-residence driver's license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems on light to heavy-duty vehicles.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and ensure proper operation.
• Maintain and inventory company-issued service truck and equipment; document work and parts used.
• Complete DOT forms and related documentation in a timely manner.
