Job summary

CoxFleet, a Cox Automotive company, is hiring a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician to support on-site mobile maintenance for light, medium and heavy-duty trucks. This Individual Contributor role requires diagnostic skills and DOT compliance.

Based in the United States with a flexible remote option within the specified city/region, you will perform DOT inspections, PMs, and complex repairs, manage parts and document work orders using TRAIT on iOS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; related field experience may substitute.
• 7–10 years in a related field preferred; 3+ years with refrigerated equipment desired.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools for required duties.
• DOT regulations compliance and DOT medical card required/maintained.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on mobile fleet and follow-up repairs.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brakes, cooling, engine and transmission systems.
• Independently manage parts inventory and service-truck operations; document RO using TRAIT on iOS.
• Communicate with management and customers to obtain approvals and ensure service quality.
