Zusammenfassung

Cox Automotive’s Cox Fleet division seeks a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, road test vehicles, and document findings via TRAIT app. Strong diagnostic skills and ASE/DOT certifications preferred.

The role offers a remote-friendly setup, with a schedule Thursday–Monday and eligibility for incentive programs. Benefits and ongoing training provided.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma/GED and 5 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline and 3 years’ experience; or 7 years’ experience in a related field
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within eighteen (18) months.
• Obtain 608/609 certification within eighteen (18) months.
• DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical must be passed.

Aufgaben

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT Inspections and follow up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine electronics and transmission systems on various truck equipment.
• Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions using handheld tools and gauges.
• Road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and ensure proper functioning.
• Accurately complete DOT forms and document findings on RO using company iOS device and TRAIT app.
• Manage parts inventory and maintain service truck; perform pre-/post-trip safety inspections.
• Communicate with management to obtain approvals on repair estimates and purchase orders.
