Job summary

Cox Fleet is a leading on-site mobile maintenance provider serving fleets nationwide, with 50+ service centers and 24/7 support. We are seeking a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician to perform DOT inspections, PMs, diagnostics, and complex repairs with leadership on job sites.

Responsibilities include diagnosing systems, road-testing, documenting work, managing parts, and communicating with customers to ensure expectations are met. Strong safety and regulatory compliance are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 3–7 years related field experience accepted as alternative.
• DOT/FMCSA regulatory background preferred or ability to obtain.
• Must supply hand tools necessary to perform job duties.
• DOT medical card or ability to obtain one within specified period.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and preventive maintenance on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and related systems.
• Test and road-test vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose malfunctions.
• Document findings and repairs on Repair Orders using company app and tools.
• Interact with customers to assess needs and communicate estimates.
• Manage parts inventory and maintain service truck readiness.
