Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal/Senior Principal MMIC RFIC Design Engineer in Linthicum, MD to design highly integrated RFIC/Microwave circuits for advanced radar systems. You will perform schematic capture, layout, simulation, and testing across GaAs, GaN, InP, SiGe, and superconducting technologies.

The role offers collaboration in a broad, technically challenging environment and requires a US Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience (or advanced degrees with fewer years) in STME fields; or equivalent experience.
• Active or final US Government Secret clearance is required to start.
• Experience with microwave design tools (ADS/Momentum, Cadence Virtuoso).

Responsibilities

• Develop MMIC/RFIC products for advanced systems from concept to characterization.
• Capture schematics, simulate circuits, layout, and perform DRC/LVS testing.
• Design LNAs, PAs, mixers, switches, and phase shifters for radar.
• Assist with RF/microwave packaging, test, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate in a team, provide technical leadership when needed.
• Work with GaAs, GaN, InP, SiGe, and superconducting technologies.
