The role includes policy development, QA oversight, and training responsibilities for staff, with day shift coverage and a focus on accuracy and patient safety.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of MLS experience, MLS (ASCP) certification, and strong skills across immunology, chemistry, hematology, UA, and coagulation.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Biology or Chemistry.
• MLS (ASCP) or equivalent certification is required.
• Experience: 5+ years as MLS with progressive quality and troubleshooting expertise.

Responsibilities

• Oversee immunology testing and QA oversight.
• Contribute to policy/procedure creation and review.
• Maintain detailed records of procedures and results.
• Provide training and orientation to laboratory staff.
• Promote continuous learning and professional growth in the department.
• Perform Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Special Coagulation, Immunology, Bone Marrow and Flow Cytometry testing on day shift.
• Notify clinical personnel of critical results and document notifications.
