Job summary

Endeavor Health is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) Senior - Special Coag for Evanston Hospital. The role focuses on immunology testing, instrument ownership, QA oversight, and development of lab policies.

Requires a 5+ year MLS background, BS in Biology or Chemistry, and MLS (ASCP) or equivalent. The position offers Monday–Friday 7:00am–3:30pm with holiday and weekend rotation, integrated training, and opportunities for professional growth within Endeavor Health’s expanding lab

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Biology or Chemistry required.
MLS (ASCP) or equivalent certification required.
5+ years as MLS with progressive quality and troubleshooting expertise.

Responsibilities

Oversee immunology-related clinical laboratory tests with instrument ownership and quality assurance for day-to-day operations.
Maintain detailed records of laboratory procedures and results.
Provide training, orientation, and ongoing education to laboratory staff.
Promote continuous learning and professional growth within the department.
Perform clinical lab testing in Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation; Special Coagulation, Immunology, Bone Marrow and Flow Cytometry on day shift.
Review patient test results for accuracy and notify appropriate personnel of critical results.
