Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in a clinical laboratory science or medical technology program from an accredited program.
• MLS/MT (ASCP) certification or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of laboratory experience in high/moderate complexity testing.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to work cooperatively with others.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and special laboratory tests; document results and notify when results require verification.
• Evaluate results for clinical significance and validity; report per policy.
• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot instruments; recognize instrument/test issues and take corrective action.
• Perform quality control and quality assurance activities; address out-of-control results.
• Participate in proficiency testing and specialty testing across chemistry, hematology, coagulation.
• Support accreditation efforts by meeting turnaround time goals.
