Job summary

Endeavor Health seeks an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) Senior - Special Coag for Evanston Hospital in Evanston, IL. This full-time role runs Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm with rotating holidays, focusing on immunology and coagulation testing across multiple modalities.

You will mentor staff, help develop lab policies, maintain QC and records, and stay current with industry best practices while delivering high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Biology or Chemistry.
• MLS (ASCP) or equivalent certification.
• 5+ years as MLS with progressive quality and troubleshooting expertise.
• Immunology, Chemistry, Hematology, UA, Body Fluids and Coagulation preferred skills.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing clinical laboratory tests in the immunology area with instrument ownership and QA oversight.
• Contributing to policy and procedure creation and review.
• Maintaining detailed records of procedures and results.
• Providing training and ongoing education to staff.
• Promoting continuous learning and professional growth within the department.
• Staying current with best practices and industry developments.
• Performing clinical lab testing in Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation.
• Handling Special Coagulation, Immunology Bone Marrow and Flow Cytometry on day shift.
• Ensuring patient/service satisfaction and courteous interactions with staff.
