Job summary

Leidos in the United States is seeking an experienced Mission Engineering Analyst to develop innovative solutions for multi-domain simulations using AFSIM. You will model space, air, maritime, and ground systems and integrate Leidos software within the AFSIM framework to support DoD programs.

You will collaborate with SMEs and software engineers, apply OO programming, analyze results, and document processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or related field required.
• 4+ years of modeling, simulation, and analysis experience, preferably using AFSIM.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or MATLAB.
• Deep understanding of military operations at the mission/campaign level, DoD programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop models of multi-domain systems of systems and software in mission-level simulations using AFSIM.
• Create advanced models of space, air, maritime, and ground systems and their behaviors.
• Apply Object-Oriented Programming techniques to maximize M&S environment scalability.
• Analyze simulation results to communicate system and software effectiveness.
• Collaborate with SMEs, software engineers, and analysts to maximize Operational Analysis productivity.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Document model development processes, results, and best practices for knowledge sharing.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in AFSIM capabilities.
• Assist in creating technical documentation and presentations for stakeholders.
