Job summary

Leidos seeks an experienced Mission Engineering Analyst to develop mission-level simulations in AFSIM, modeling space, air, maritime, and ground systems. You will build complex models, integrate Leidos software, and analyze results to support decision-making for DoD programs.

The role requires US citizenship with TS clearance; 50% in-office work at Arlington/Reston/Huntsville among others. AFSIM expertise and OO programming are preferred traits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Physics/CS with 8+ years' experience; Master’s with 6+ years acceptable.
• 4+ years in modeling, simulation, and analysis, preferably using AFSIM.
• Proficiency in Python or MATLAB.
• Deep understanding of military operations at mission/campaign level in DoD programs.
• Agile DevSecOps familiarity; strong analytical problem-solving abilities.
• U.S. citizenship with TS clearance; SCI eligible; effective collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop models of multi-domain systems of systems and software in mission-level simulations using AFSIM.
• Create advanced models of space, air, maritime, and ground systems; evaluate and validate.
• Apply OO programming to maximize M&S scalability.
• Analyze simulation results to communicate effectiveness for real-world use.
• Collaborate with SMEs, software engineers, and analysts across Leidos.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high coding standards.
• Document development processes, results, and best practices.
• Stay updated with the latest AFSIM capabilities; communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Assist in technical documentation and presentations for stakeholders.
