Job summary

Leidos in the Defense Sector Office of Technology seeks a Mission Engineering Analyst in San Diego, CA to develop models of multi-domain systems using AFSIM and integrate Leidos software for decision support. You will work with technical leaders to create complex scenarios and analyze results for strategic impact.

The role requires Python/MATLAB proficiency, DoD program experience, and US citizenship with TS clearance.

Qualifications

8+ years of relevant experience in engineering/physics/computer science.
4+ years modeling, simulation, and analysis, preferably using AFSIM.
Proficiency in Python or MATLAB.
Deep understanding of military operations at mission/campaign level.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and collaboration with customers and cross-functional teams.
US citizenship with Top Secret clearance, SCI eligible.

Responsibilities

Develop models of multi-domain systems using AFSIM for decision support.
Create models of space, air, maritime, and ground systems and validate.
Apply OO programming to maximize M&S scalability and extensibility.
Analyze simulation results to communicate system effectiveness to stakeholders.
Collaborate with SMEs, software engineers, and analysts to maximize operational analysis productivity.
Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards.
Document model development processes, results, and best practices.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in AFSIM capabilities.
Assist in creating technical documentation and presentations for stakeholders.
