Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Senior Simulation Analysis Engineer to join the ISMA center. You will work on high-fidelity missile simulations to power decision-support systems and support warfighter requirements.

The role requires a STEM degree with five years of relevant experience, strong MATLAB/Python skills, and experience in at least two core areas such as C/C++, AI/ML, HPC. Onsite in Tucson with DoD clearance.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of five years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
• Experience with MATLAB or Python
• Experience in at least two of the following: Systems engineering life cycle; Software development and/or object-oriented design using C/C++ and/or Java; Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and/or Surrogate Modeling; Computation on high-performance computing (HPC)

Responsibilities

• Support the design, development, and/or utilization of high-fidelity digital simulation software in advanced technical computing environments.
• Contribute to trade studies to assess system performance of weapons against a variety of threats in a variety of kill chain scenarios.
• Contribute knowledge of performance engineering practices to evaluate work across a wide range of computational problems.
• Collaborate in a team environment to develop analytic approaches and provide data for programmatic decisions.
• Develop and implement model-based solutions to power decision support systems, and participate in validation and testing of models and software components.
• Occasional travel to support the customer/program (<10% travel)
