Job summary

Arcadis seeks a Principal Industrial Water Wastewater Consultant to join its IWTO team in the US. This seller/doer role blends client development with hands-on process design for mining wastewater projects, with hybrid work as projects span the US and beyond.

The candidate will act as SME, lead major projects, mentor staff, and collaborate across Arcadis locations to win work and deliver high-impact solutions for mining clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 20+ years of industrial water/wastewater treatment experience.
• Held prior roles across engineering, project management, sustainability, sales, marketing, and mining.
• Knowledge and experience with industrial clients in North America, particularly those in the Mining sector.
• Strong experience in developing and leading large industrial wastewater capital projects.
• Strong experience and network within the Mining sector.

Responsibilities

• Lead business development activities to increase project wins and develop long-lasting client relationships.
• Lead pursuits and development of proposals.
• Client meetings for business development,
• Work directly with clients to determine needs and provide solutions.
• Engaging with Arcadis’ regional, national, and global client account teams, supporting the expansion of business development opportunities and client relationships to strategically grow Arcadis’ industrial water/wastewater portfolio.
• Preparation of abstracts and technical papers.
• Serve as Mining Sector wastewater treatment subject matter expert.
• Lead projects and clients in planning, design and construction of industrial water/wastewater treatment plants.
• Coordinating multi-disciplined engineering teams.
• Lead or serve as Subject Matter Expert for complex engineering designs for industrial water projects while collaborating with other design disciplines.
• Manage technical coordination and leadership roles on larger or complex projects or projects with higher associated risk.
