Job summary

Stantec seeks a Senior Estimator to lead multi-discipline cost estimating for mining and mineral processing projects. You will coordinate teams, develop scopes, and drive estimates from PEA to execution, with travel as needed.

Based in the United States with the option to work hybrid from home or a Stantec US office; expect collaboration across global projects and a dynamic client base in a design-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; Mining Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 10 years in estimating/construction roles; field/contractor experience preferred.
• Experience leading mining and mineral processing estimates across multiple disciplines.
• Professional credentials (AACE, PMI, DBIA) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate development of multi-discipline cost estimates and schedules.
• Lead mining studies and program-level estimating efforts from PEA to FS.
• Develop detailed estimates for mining, process plant, civil, mechanical, electrical scopes.
• Coordinate input from estimating disciplines into a single cost estimate.
• Prepare estimate execution plans, labor-work plans, and basis of cost reports.
• Collaborate with procurement, vendor pricing, and change management activities.
• Ensure constructability reviews and estimate defensibility to clients.
