Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. in the United States seeks a Senior Estimator to lead multi-discipline cost estimation for mining and mineral processing projects, from open pit to plant facilities.

You will coordinate discipline estimators, drive estimate maturity, and ensure defensible cost baselines across design milestones. This senior role requires deep mining experience and proficiency with estimation software.

Qualifications

• Extensive technical knowledge of cost/estimating and engineering design.
• Experience estimating mining and mineral processing projects (open pit/underground).
• Ability to lead multi-discipline estimating and coordinate interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate development of multi-discipline cost estimates and schedules.
• Lead mining studies and program-level estimating (PEA, PFS, FS, execution).
• Develop detailed estimates for mining, process plant, civil, mechanical, electrical scopes.
• Coordinate input from estimating disciplines into a single cost estimate.
• Prepare basis of cost estimate reports and labor-work plans.
• Support procurement, change orders, and claims valuation.
