Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking a Senior Estimator to develop and manage capital cost estimates for mining and mineral processing projects. You will lead a team of estimators and coordinate disciplines across design teams, with travel for domestic and international assignments.

The role requires leadership of multi-discipline estimates for PEA, PFS, FS, and execution stages, and collaboration with mining teams to ensure accurate, competitive pricing and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; Mining Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 10 years combined estimating and construction experience.
• Experience leading large mining studies and program-level estimates.
• Certifications such as AACE, PMI are assets.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate multi-discipline cost estimates and schedules.
• Lead mining studies and program-level estimating efforts (PEA, PFS, FS).
• Develop detailed estimates for mining, process plant, civil, mechanical, electrical, and other scopes.
• Coordinate input parameters and validate material takeoffs.
• Prepare bases of cost estimate and labor work plans.
• Interface with clients and project teams to ensure defensible estimates.
