Job summary

Stantec seeks a Senior Estimator to develop and manage capital cost estimates for mining and mineral processing projects worldwide, coordinating a team of discipline estimators and engaging with engineers, planners, and clients to ensure accurate, defendable cost data.

The role leads multi-discipline estimates for PEA, PFS, FS, execution, and sustaining capital, with travel to project sites. Flexible work arrangements and strong collaboration are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field; Mining Engineering preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years combined estimating/construction experience; field/contractor-side preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate multi-discipline cost estimates and schedules for mining projects.
• Lead large mining studies and program-level estimating efforts (PEA, PFS, FS, execution, sustaining capital).
• Coordinate inputs from discipline estimators and validate quantities.
• Prepare basis of estimate reports and labor-work plans.
• Interface with clients and stakeholders to defend estimates and ensure scope alignment.
