Job summary

GHD's US West Mining Team is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead planning, execution and delivery of complex mining projects across the full lifecycle. You will manage multidisciplinary teams supporting permitting, infrastructure, reclamation, closure, and post-closure efforts for mining clients.

The role emphasizes project delivery, client relationships, business development support, and leadership of technical teams, with a focus on safety, quality, and profitability in a hybrid work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, environmental, geological, geotechnical, mining, etc.) or related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of consulting experience for mining clients.
• Experience with Environmental or geotechnical site investigations.
• Permitting/regulatory compliance experience (air, NEPA, NPDES, stormwater).
• 5+ years managing environmental, infrastructure, reclamation and/or closure projects in mining.
• Professional registration (PE/PG) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of complex mining projects across the lifecycle.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams of environmental scientists, engineers, geologists, permitting specialists, and construction professionals.
• Maintain client relationships and support business development activities.
• Ensure project profitability, budgets, schedules, forecasts, and contractual requirements.
• Oversee subcontractors and coordinators; ensure adherence to PM procedures and QA/QM.
• Travel to client sites as required; provide executive communication to stakeholders.
