Job summary

GHD is seeking a Senior Project Manager for Reclamation & Closure to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of mining projects across the lifecycle. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, oversee budgets, and ensure compliance with PM and quality systems.

The position operates in a hybrid office setting with duties spanning client engagement, strategy, and project delivery. Travel to client sites is expected as projects require.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of consulting experience for mining clients (environmental, geotechnical, permitting, mining engineering).
• 5+ years managing environmental, infrastructure, reclamation and/or closure projects, ideally for mining.
• Experience budgets, schedules, forecasts, and contractual requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; willingness to travel to client sites.
• Professional registration (PE, PG) a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of complex mining projects from initiation through completion.
• Develop project execution plans, scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams including engineers, scientists, geologists, and permitting specialists.
• Monitor performance to meet scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety goals.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies; manage subcontractors and subconsultants.
• Facilitate project meetings and maintain clear client and stakeholder communication.
• Ensure adherence to PM procedures and quality management systems; track metrics and actions.
• Oversee budgets, forecasting, invoicing, and change management; drive profitability.
