Job summary

GHD seeks a Senior Project Manager – Reclamation & Closure to lead planning, execution, and delivery of complex mining projects across the lifecycle. You will oversee multidisciplinary teams on permitting, infrastructure, reclamation, and closure, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget adherence.

The role demands expertise in mine permitting, regulatory compliance, and post-closure activities, with a proven track record of profitable project delivery for mining clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, environmental, geological, geotechnical, mining) or science (geology, hydrogeology, geochemistry, environmental science) or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 10+ years of consulting experience for mining clients in environmental, geotechnical site investigations, mine planning and closure, and permitting.
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience managing environmental, infrastructure, reclamation and/or closure projects, with budget/schedule responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of complex mining projects across the lifecycle.
• Develop project execution plans, scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams including environmental scientists, engineers, geologists, and permitting specialists.
• Monitor performance and ensure delivery on scope, schedule, budget, quality and safety.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Oversee subcontractors and specialized teams.
• Facilitate client meetings and maintain stakeholder communication.
• Ensure compliance with PM procedures and quality systems.
• Manage profitability, budgets, forecasting, invoicing, and change management.
