Job summary

Equinox Gold Corp. seeks a Senior Control Systems Engineer for U.S. operations to own PLC, SCADA/HMI, and lifecycle management of plant process-control systems.

You will establish standards, lead troubleshooting, and guide site personnel and vendors. You will oversee commissioning, startup activities, and system upgrades, coordinating with IT for cybersecurity and with Operations, Metallurgy, Electrical/Instrumentation teams. A mining background is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 7+ years designing, programming, integrating, and supporting industrial process-control systems.
• Experience across multiple sites and projects preferred.
• Rockwell Automation certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop control strategies, PLC logic, sequencing, interlocks, alarms, operator interfaces.
• Lead change control including MOC and documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve control-system issues; provide after-hours escalation.
• Oversee plant startups, commissioning, and integrations; drive improvements with operations teams.
• Maintain programming and lifecycle standards; coordinate with IT on cybersecurity.
• Provide technical direction to contractors and system integrators.
• Update IT Manager on performance and risks.
