Job summary

Origin Mining Company, LLC in Arizona seeks a versatile Controls Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and support PLC-based automation within a mining/processing environment. You will collaborate with Controls Engineers, Maintenance, and Electrical teams to ensure safe, reliable operation of automated systems, perform routine inspections, and contribute to ongoing reliability and efficiency improvements.

This hands-on role requires strong troubleshooting skills, electrical schematics literacy,

Qualifications

2+ years of hands-on experience in industrial controls or automation.
Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, and control drawings.
Familiarity with instrumentation, field devices, and control valves.
Experience in mining, mineral processing, or heavy industrial environments.
Understanding of SCADA, HMI, and industrial networks.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and resolve issues with PLCs, HMIs, and control systems to minimize downtime.
Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on control systems and field devices.
Navigate and troubleshoot PLC systems (Allen-Bradley / Rockwell).
Collaborate with maintenance, electrical, and engineering teams to support plant operations.
Maintain basic troubleshooting logs and follow all safety procedures and standards.
