Job summary

The Senior Control Systems Engineer at Equinox Gold's Mesquite Mines/Castle Mountain operations leads PLC, SCADA/HMI and lifecycle management of plant process-control systems across U.S. sites.

You will set technical standards, supervise startups, coordinate with Operations, IT and vendors, and provide after-hours escalation for critical incidents while driving continuous improvements in safety, reliability, and performance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years designing and supporting industrial process-control systems.
• Strong PLC/SCADA development and integration expertise.
• Experience across multiple sites; travel between U.S. sites.
• Rockwell Certification preferred; ISA credentials a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design control strategies, PLC logic, alarms, and interfaces.
• Lead change control and documentation for process changes.
• Troubleshoot control-system issues; provide after-hours escalation.
• Oversee startups, commissioning, and site integrations; drive improvements.
• Set programming standards and lifecycle practices; coordinate with IT.
