Job summary
Origin Mining Company, LLC invites applications for a Controls Engineer to design and optimize industrial automation for its Arizona mining operations. You will work with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to enhance safety, reliability, and efficiency through advanced automation solutions.
The role requires hands-on PLC programming, SCADA/HMI/DCS experience, and the ability to read P&IDs and wiring diagrams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Controls, Automation, or Instrumentation Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Design, program, test, and troubleshoot PLC, SCADA, HMI, and DCS systems.
- Support commissioning, startup, and system integration activities.
- Monitor and optimize control system performance to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Prepare technical documentation including P&IDs, loop diagrams, and schematics.
- Provide technical support and training to maintenance and operations personnel.
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, process, and reliability teams on projects.
- Ensure safety and industry standards compliance (MSHA, NFPA, IEC).
