Job summary

NAVFAC Pacific is seeking a Senior Cost Estimator to deliver detailed construction cost estimates for military facilities, including new builds, renovations, and major infrastructure projects. You will act as a senior technical advisor on cost policies and market trends while ensuring DoD/Navy compliance through rigorous QC/QA reviews.

Qualifications

• 4-10 years construction cost estimating and scheduling experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Clearance.
• A US Citizen aged 18 or older at time of hire.
• Males registered or exempt from Selective Service www.sss.gov.
• Determined suitable for federal employment (background check and fingerprinting).

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed construction cost estimates for military facility projects (new, renovations, major infrastructure).
• Serve as senior technical expert on cost-related policies and market trends.
• Perform QC/QA reviews of estimates for DoD/Navy compliance.
• Mentor less experienced estimators on estimating techniques and processes.
• Participate in source selection boards, analyze contractor proposals, and develop estimates for contract modifications and change orders.
