Job summary

NAVFAC Pacific in Honolulu seeks a Senior Cost Estimator to develop detailed cost estimates for military facility projects, including new construction, renovations, and major infrastructure assets. You will serve as a senior technical advisor on cost policies and market trends, and support DoD and Navy regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include QC/QA of estimates, mentoring junior estimators, and participating in source selection boards and contract modifications.

Qualifications

• 4-10 years construction cost estimating and scheduling experience
• Valid Driver’s License
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Clearance
• A US Citizen aged 18 or older at time of hire
• Males registered or exempt from Selective Service

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed, comprehensive construction cost estimates for military facility projects including new construction, renovations, and major infrastructure assets
• Serve as a senior technical expert, advising project teams and leadership on cost-related policies and market trends
• Perform QC/QA reviews of estimates to ensure DoD, Navy and regulatory compliance
• Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced estimators on estimating techniques
• Support project execution by participating in source selection boards and developing estimates for contract modifications and change orders
