Job summary

NAVFAC Pacific is seeking a Senior Cost Estimator to join our team in Hawaii. You will develop detailed cost estimates for MILCON and infrastructure projects, providing senior technical guidance to project teams on cost policies and market trends.

You will also lead QC/QA reviews, mentor junior estimators, and support source selection and contract modification analyses to ensure compliant, competitive bids. Must hold US citizenship and SECRET clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• 4-10 years construction cost estimating and scheduling experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Clearance.
• US Citizen aged 18 or older at time of hire.
• Males registered or exempt from Selective Service.
• Determined suitable for federal employment (background check and fingerprinting).

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed, comprehensive construction cost estimates for military facility projects including new construction, renovations, and major infrastructure assets.
• Serve as a senior technical expert, advising project teams on cost-related policies, market trends, and estimating requirements.
• Perform QC/QA reviews of cost estimates to ensure DoD/Navy regulatory compliance.
• Mentor less experienced estimators and support development of cost policy and criteria.
• Support project execution by participating in source selection boards, analyzing contractor proposals, and developing cost estimates for contract changes.
