Job summary
NAVFAC Pacific, based in Hawaii, is seeking a Senior Cost Estimator to lead complex military facility cost modeling and to develop detailed construction estimates for a variety of MILCON projects. You will provide senior technical guidance on cost policies, market trends, and estimation requirements, while ensuring compliance with DoD and Navy standards.
Responsibilities include QA/QC reviews, mentoring junior estimators, and supporting source selections and contract modifications.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Clearance.
- A US Citizen aged 18 or older at time of hire.
- Males registered or exempt from Selective Service.
- Suitable for federal employment (background check and fingerprinting).
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed, comprehensive construction cost estimates for MILCON and related facilities.
- Serve as a senior technical expert on cost-related policies and market trends.
- Perform QC/QA reviews of estimates for compliance with DoD, Navy, and regulatory standards.
- Mentor less experienced estimators on estimating techniques and processes.
- Support project execution by analyzing proposals and developing cost estimates for contract modifications.
