Job summary

NAVFAC Pacific is seeking a Senior Cost Estimator to deliver detailed construction cost estimates for diverse military facility projects, including new work and major infrastructure. You will advise project teams on cost policies and market trends, and ensure estimates meet DoD standards.

You will mentor junior staff, support source selection boards, and develop cost estimates for contract modifications and change orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance across projects.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Clearance
• A US Citizen aged 18 or older at time of hire
• Males registered or exempt from Selective Service
• Determined suitable for federal employment (background check and fingerprinting)

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed, comprehensive construction cost estimates for a wide range of military facility projects.
• Serve as a senior technical expert, advising on cost-related policies, market trends, and estimating requirements.
• Perform QC/QA reviews of estimates to ensure compliance with DoD, Navy, and regulatory standards.
• Mentor less experienced estimators on estimating techniques and processes.
• Support project execution by participating in source selection boards, analyzing proposals, and developing estimates for contract modifications and changes.
