Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Senior Engineer – Modern Work to own the full delivery lifecycle of Microsoft 365 and Modern Work engagements. You will lead design, planning, migration, security remediation, automation, and documentation across the GDS customer base with limited supervision.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, engineering standards, and escalation management for complex Microsoft 365, identity, endpoint, and cloud issues, without direct reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field or equivalent experience.
• Seven or more years hands-on engineering across Microsoft 365 and cloud technologies.
• Two+ years in senior/lead capacity within MSP/consulting/enterprise IT.
• Experience supporting multiple concurrent customers in managed services or multi-tenant env.
• Demonstrated automation experience using PowerShell, Graph, or comparable tooling.
• Experience leading complex migrations and security remediation engagements.

Responsibilities

• Own complex technical projects and workstreams from discovery through acceptance with limited supervision.
• Perform technical discovery, solution design, planning, implementation, testing, and acceptance.
• Lead customer onboarding and transition into managed operations.
• Serve as Tier 3 engineering support and own escalations to resolution.
• Develop standard operating procedures, runbooks, and customer-facing documentation.
