Job summary

Heartland Technology Group is seeking a Senior Modern Work Engineer II to join the Modern Work / Data & AI practice. You will contribute backend development, leverage custom solutions, database, Power Platform, and SharePoint expertise to solve business problems and delight customers.

You will lead pre-sales efforts, design solutions, and mentor junior teammates while collaborating with business leaders to deliver Microsoft-based modernization across projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of business consulting experience.
• 10+ years of analyzing and building collaboration systems.
• 10+ years’ experience scoping M365 implementation projects with Eng/Cloud Architecture.
• 10+ years’ experience in SharePoint on-prem (2013/2016/2019).
• Active Microsoft Modern Workplace certifications.
• Outcome-focused mindset with strong prioritization and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Charge hour expectation of 1,450 hours annually; balance between billable and presales efforts.
• Provide 2-4 hours/week of support for project and escalated incidents with focus on customer satisfaction.
• Lead pre-sales activities including client meetings, solution design, proposals, and project estimating.
• Engage with clients to propose M365 Modern Work solutions aligned to goals.
• Research and integrate new Microsoft technologies (SharePoint, M365 Copilot, other apps).
• Lead cross-functional teams through complex problems to deliver technology solutions.
