Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions in Etters, PA is seeking an experienced Advanced Microfabrication Technology Engineer to develop, evaluate, and implement microfabrication processes for next‑generation interconnect technologies.

You will lead lab and pilot‑scale experiments, qualify micro‑assembly methods, and work with Design, NPI, and Manufacturing teams to translate customer requirements into robust, scalable solutions using photolithography, laser micromachining, electroforming, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years in microfabrication or micro-scale manufacturing/assembly.
• Experience with multiple microfabrication methods and small component handling.
• Strong data analysis and DOE/MSA capability.
• Solid modeling experience with Creo/SolidWorks/NX and collaboration with tooling teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate, and implement microfabrication processes for next-generation interconnect technologies.
• Lead lab and pilot-scale experiments; prototype and validate microfabrication technologies.
• Develop and qualify micro-assembly processes; support automation concepts (vision alignment, pick-and-place, error-proofing).
• Define process windows and DOE/capability studies to ensure repeatable, scalable manufacturing outcomes.
• Document findings and communicate recommendations to stakeholders.
