Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join the high-speed interconnect team. You will develop assembly processes, tooling, and automation for data center and telecom products, collaborating with global sites to optimize cost, quality, and manufacturability.

The role requires a technical degree with 5+ years in the connector industry, strong CAD skills and experience with automation, PLCs, and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 5+ years of related experience in the connector industry preferred.
• Experience with assembly design, process development, and manufacturing tooling.
• Ability to read technical drawings and write reports, with strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop assembly concepts, write scopes of work, design, test, and deploy tooling and automation.
• Collaborate with external suppliers and manufacturers for prototypes, pilot production, and deployment of high-volume automation.
• Balance processes and determine cycle times, yields, and utilities, including dynamic modeling as required.
• Define process steps, layouts, and control needs; work with IEs on DFMs, FMEAs, and risk assessments.
• Evaluate safety and occupational health for processes and justify major tooling acquisitions.
