Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions seeks a Senior Process Engineer to lead assembly process development for high-speed interconnects. You will drive automation, cost projections, and capacity planning within the HSIO Connector Engineering team in Valley Green, PA.

You will apply DFMA, FMEA, DOE, and tooling design to improve quality, safety, and efficiency, coordinating with vendors and production staff to meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in a technical discipline; Electro-mechanical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• Ability to read, interpret technical procedures or regulations.
• Ability to present information to groups across regions.
• Mathematical concepts including statistics and geometry.
• Proficiency with CAD tools and engineering software.
• Experience with DFMA, FMEA, and DOE techniques.

Responsibilities

• Manage all process and manufacturing engineering activities for assembly processes.
• Develop automated processes and drive improvements using LEAN tools (SMED, TPM).
• Prepare cost projections, capital justifications, and capacity plans.
• Create PFMEA, Process Qualification Plan, Control Plans, and DOE documentation.
• Develop and document assembly processes, work instructions, and maintenance plans.
• Coordinate with vendors for prototype samples and tooling; support process qualification.
