Job summary
Amphenol Communications Solutions is seeking an Advanced Microfabrication Technology Engineer to optimize microfabrication processes for high-precision connectors and components. You will lead lab and pilot-scale experiments, develop micro-assembly methods, and drive robust, scalable manufacturing.
A strong background in microfabrication, tolerance management, and metrology is essential. You will collaborate with Development, NPI, and supplier teams to translate design needs into manufacturable
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; Master preferred.
- 2+ years in microfabrication and micro-scale manufacturing/assembly.
- Experience with multiple microfabrication methods and tolerance management.
- Proficiency in Creo/SolidWorks/NX and data analysis tools.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, develop, and optimize micro-fabrication processes for high-precision parts.
- Lead lab/pilot-scale experiments to prototype emerging micro technologies.
- Develop and qualify micro-assembly processes for very small parts.
- Define DOE, process maps, and capability studies for repeatable manufacturing.
- Support metrology, failure analysis, and yield improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate design needs into manufacturable solutions.
- Interface with suppliers and vendors for qualification and scale-up.
