Position: Senior Process Engineer
Location: Valley Green, PA

Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products enable the electronics revolution and are a key enabler for major Tier 1 OEMs globally. Our headquarters are in Nashua, NH, with design, sales, and manufacturing locations worldwide. We are seeking a Process Engineer to join our HSIO Connector Engineering team in Valley Green, PA.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all technical and process control aspects, develop plans, coordinate, track, qualify, and implement assembly processes from conceptual design into functional assemblies meeting cost, delivery, capacity, and customer requirements.
  • Develop automated processes and monitor continuous improvement areas in quality, safety, cost, and efficiency using tools like SMED, TPM (LEAN), etc.
  • Assist with costing, capital, and capacity projections for financial justifications related to new products or changes.
  • Complete process development deliverables including PFMEA, Process Qualification Plan, Control Plans, Workmanship standards, and DOE’s.
  • Develop tools and fixtures using 3D CAD software (preferably Solidworks or Pro-Engineer).
  • Define process equipment, fixtures, and tools for new or improved cable assembly processes.
  • Provide product and investment cost assessments for justification and procurement of tooling and equipment.
  • Write specifications for machinery and tooling from external vendors.
  • Drive process risk reduction efforts using DFM, FMEA, and verification testing.
  • Define and drive process qualification plans (FAI, Cmk, Cpk).
  • Coordinate with vendors for prototype, tooling, and equipment fabrication.
  • Analyze risk areas, conduct experiments, DOE, and basic R&D.
  • Develop and document assembly processes, including process sheets, procedures, spare parts, and maintenance plans.
  • Provide training and support to production personnel.
  • Participate in team meetings to report progress and deliverables.
  • Interface with vendors on automated equipment development.
  • Work with operations to define capacity plans, time studies, takt time, line layout, work instructions, and standards.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing to develop efficiency, cost reduction, and capacity plans.
  • Some domestic and international travel may be required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electro-mechanical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering with at least five years of process engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in reading and analyzing technical journals, procedures, regulations.
  • Strong report writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Mathematical skills including probability, statistics, geometry, and trigonometry.
  • Knowledge of 3D CAD software (Solidworks or Pro-Engineer), DFM, FMEA, and DOE.
  • Experience with automation is a plus.
