Job summary

Rothe is seeking a Metrology Technician IV to support our Calibration and Metrology operations at our Webster, Texas headquarters. This is a senior technical position, proficient in all calibration areas with minimal supervision in the lab or at customer sites.

The role supports an ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI Z540 accredited lab serving NASA, commercial space, defense, energy, and healthcare customers. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is available, with relocation assistance considered case-by-case.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years' experience in calibration or a related field.
Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent.
On-the-job training; proficient in all areas of calibration performed in the lab.

Responsibilities

Performs repairs, calibrations, and general housekeeping.
Understands the objective of calibration and how to assess results.
Proficient in all areas of calibration performed in the lab; requires minimal supervision to perform calibrations in the lab or at customer sites.
May be assigned Onsite Lead as required.
Understands ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z540 requirements as they relate to the calibration process and can generate uncertainty budgets.
Able to create calibration procedures for new equipment and recommend improvements to current procedures and methods.
