Rothe Development is seeking a Metrology Technician II to support calibration and metrology operations at our Webster, TX headquarters. The role focuses on physical dimensional and DC & Low calibrations in an ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI Z540 accredited lab, with opportunities to lead onsite activities.

The candidate will perform repairs and calibrations with minimal supervision, reporting to the Lab Manager and coordinating with senior staff to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in calibration or a related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Proficient in Physical Dimensional and DC & Low calibrations.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs, calibrations, and general housekeeping.
• Understands the objective of calibration and how to assess results.
• Proficient in Physical Dimensional and DC & Low calibrations; minimal supervision.
• May be assigned the position of Onsite Lead as required.
• Keeps the Lab Manager informed of equipment status changes that could affect delivery.
• Reports problems or needed improvements to the Lab Manager.
• Aware of the relevance and importance of activities to the management system.

Rothe is seeking a Metrology Technician II to support our Calibration and Metrology operations at our Webster, Texas headquarters. Founded in 1967, Rothe is a mission-critical infrastructure and engineering company supporting federal agencies, commercial space, energy, and healthcare markets. Our ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI Z540 accredited calibration laboratory serves NASA, commercial space, defense, energy, and healthcare customers.

Rothe is hiring metrology technicians right now. Our Houston area calibration laboratory is expanding across every technician level, we review applications daily, we interview on a rolling basis, and we are ready to move quickly for qualified candidates. Every technician position in the lab is eligible for a sign-on bonus and for relocation assistance.

Job Description:

The Metrology Technician II performs repairs and calibrations on customer and laboratory equipment in Rothe's ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI Z540 accredited Metrology Calibration Laboratory. This position is proficient in Physical Dimensional and DC & Low calibrations and requires minimal supervision to perform calibrations in these areas in the lab or at customer sites. The Metrology Technician II reports to the Lab Manager and may be assigned the position of Onsite Lead as required.

This is an Onsite role based in Webster, TX.

Education and Experience:

Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in calibration or a related field. Reports to the Lab Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in calibration or a related field
• On the job training; proficient in Physical Dimensional and DC & Low calibrations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with RF, Force, or Temperature calibrations
• Prior experience serving as an Onsite Lead at customer locations
• Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z540 requirements as they relate to the calibration process
