Job summary

Rothe Development Inc. seeks a Metrology Technician II to support calibration operations at our Webster, Texas headquarters. The role covers repairs and calibrations in Rothe's ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI Z540 calibrated Metrology Calibration Laboratory, with emphasis on Physical Dimensional and DC & Low calibrations and minimal supervision.

The position is onsite in Webster, TX and reports to the Lab Manager. A minimum of five years in calibration and a high school diploma or equivalent are

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in calibration or a related field.
• On the job training; proficient in Physical Dimensional and DC & Low calibrations

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs, calibrations, and general housekeeping.
• Understands the objective of calibration and how to assess results.
• Proficient in Physical Dimensional and DC & Low calibrations; requires minimal supervision to perform calibrations in these areas in the lab or at customer sites.
• May be assigned the position of Onsite Lead as required.
• Keeps the Lab Manager informed of any equipment status changes that would affect its delivery.
• Reports any problems or needed improvements to the Lab Manager.
• Must be aware of the relevance and importance of their activities and how they contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the management system.
