Rothe Development in Webster, TX, is hiring a Metrology Technician I to perform repairs and calibrations in our ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI Z540 accredited lab. The role focuses on pressure and torque calibrations with supervision minimal, reporting to the Lab Manager, and may serve as Onsite Lead.

The position requires a high school diploma and at least 3 years of calibration experience. Candidates should be comfortable working onsite, with sign-on bonus and relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years' training or experience in calibration or a related field.
• On-the-job training; proficient in Pressure and Torque calibrations.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs, calibrations, and general housekeeping.
• Understands the objective of calibration and how to assess results.
• Proficient in Pressure and Torque calibrations; requires minimal supervision to perform calibrations in these areas in the lab or at customer sites.
• May be assigned the position of Onsite Lead as required.
• Keeps the Lab Manager informed of any equipment status changes that would affect its delivery.
• Reports any problems or needed improvements to the Lab Manager.
• Must be aware of the relevance and importance of their activities and how they contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the management system.
