Job summary

Rothe is seeking a Metrology Technician III to support calibration operations at our Webster, TX headquarters. The role requires repairing and calibrating customer and lab equipment within an ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI Z540 accredited lab, covering Physical Dimensional, DC & Low, RF, Force, and Temperature calibrations.

The candidate reports to the Lab Manager and may serve as Onsite Lead as needed. A strong background in calibration and a commitment to quality are essential for this onsite position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years' experience in calibration or a related field.
• Proficient in Physical Dimensional, DC & Low, RF, Force, and Temperature calibrations.
• On the job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs, calibrations, and general housekeeping.
• Understands the objective of calibration and how to assess results.
• Proficient in Physical Dimensional, DC & Low, RF, Force, and Temperature calibrations; requires minimal supervision to perform calibrations in these areas in the lab or at customer sites.
• May be assigned the position of Onsite Lead as required.
• Keeps the Lab Manager informed of any equipment status changes that would affect its delivery.
• Reports any problems or needed improvements to the Lab Manager.
• Must be aware of the relevance and importance of their activities and how they contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the management system.
