Job summary

Rothe Development in Webster, TX is seeking a Metrology Technician IV for our ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI Z540 accredited Calibration Laboratory. This senior role requires extensive calibration expertise across the lab and at customer sites, with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities include repairs, calibrations, generating uncertainty budgets, and creating calibration procedures for new equipment. Onsite Lead duties may be assigned; sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' experience in calibration or a related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• On the job training; proficient in all areas of calibration performed in the lab.
• NCSLI certification.
• Experience creating calibration procedures for new equipment and recommending improvements to current procedures and methods.
• Experience serving as Onsite Lead at customer locations.

• Reports any problems or improvements needed to the Lab Manager
• Must be aware of the relevance and importance of their activities and how they contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the management system

Rothe is seeking a Metrology Technician IV to support our Calibration and Metrology operations at our Webster, Texas headquarters. Founded in 1967, Rothe is a mission-critical infrastructure and engineering company supporting federal agencies, commercial space, energy, and healthcare markets. Our ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI Z540 accredited calibration laboratory serves NASA, commercial space, defense, energy, and healthcare customers.

Rothe is hiring metrology technicians right now. Our Houston area calibration laboratory is expanding across every technician level, we review applications daily, we interview on a rolling basis, and we are ready to move quickly for qualified candidates. Every technician position in the lab is eligible for a sign-on bonus and for relocation assistance.

Job Description:

The Metrology Technician IV is the senior technical position in Rothe's ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI Z540 accredited Metrology Calibration Laboratory, proficient in all areas of calibration performed in the lab and requiring minimal supervision in the lab or at customer sites. In addition to performing repairs and calibrations, this position generates uncertainty budgets, creates calibration procedures for new equipment, and recommends improvements to current procedures and methods. The Metrology Technician IV reports to the Lab Manager and may be assigned the position of Onsite Lead as required.
