Job summary

Rothe is seeking a Metrology Technician III to support calibration and metrology in Webster, Texas. The role performs repairs and calibrations on customer and laboratory equipment in an ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI Z540 accredited lab.

You will work with Physical Dimensional, DC & Low, RF, Force, and Temperature calibrations with minimal supervision. Reporting to the Lab Manager, you may serve as Onsite Lead and participate in continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 7 years' experience in calibration or a related field.
On the job training; proficient in Physical Dimensional, DC & Low, RF, Force, and Temperature calibrations.

Responsibilities

Performs repairs, calibrations, and general housekeeping.
Understands the objective of calibration and how to assess results.
Proficient in Physical Dimensional, DC & Low, RF, Force, and Temperature calibrations; requires minimal supervision to perform calibrations in these areas in the lab or at customer sites.
May be assigned the position of Onsite Lead as required.
Keeps the Lab Manager informed of any equipment status changes that would affect its delivery.
Reports any problems or needed improvements to the Lab Manager.
Must be aware of the relevance and importance of their activities and how they contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the management system.
