Job summary

Turner Construction Company seeks a Lead, Project Manager for Critical Facilities-Data Centers on a traveling assignment. The role directs field activities for mechanical and electrical systems on schedule, within budget, and per contract documents, reporting to the Superintendent, Project Manager, and MEP Manager.

The position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and at least four years of relevant experience; travel is 100% to project sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with at least four years of related mechanical and electrical experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and project planning skills.
• Ability to travel 100% and work on-site at data center projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with engineers, designers, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, Turner staff and owners to resolve MEP issues.
• Develop schedules for engineering, coordination, installation, start-up, testing, commissioning and turnover.
• Create tools to monitor progress and benchmark against the project schedule.
• Evaluate and approve subcontractor payments with understanding of remaining work.
• Lead the MEP team and mentor subordinates.
• Preplan field activities and ensure readiness of work areas.
• Oversee turnover, start-up, testing, commissioning, closeout and turnover with the MEP Engineer.
