Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking a Lead for Critical Facilities-Data Centers in the USA. This role directs field activities for mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring work is on schedule, within budget, and meets contract quality standards.

Reports to the Superintendent, Project Manager, and MEP Manager. Requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering and at least four years of relevant experience, with strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and a minimum of four years of relevant engineering experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
• Technical expertise in mechanical and electrical systems and how they interrelate across project types.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organizational ability and computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison with engineers, design consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors and owner’s representatives to resolve M&E issues.
• Develop comprehensive schedules for engineering, coordination, installation, start-up, testing, commissioning and turnover.
• Monitor progress against the project schedule and use tools to track work.
• Evaluate and approve subcontractor monthly payment requisitions.
• Lead and mentor the MEP team; coordinate with MEP Engineer on turnover and closeout.
