Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Toledo, OH, seeks an experienced Mechanical-Electrical Superintendent to lead and coordinate MEPS trades on the Lima, OH project. You will oversee safety, schedule, quality and budget, directing assistants, field engineers, interns and trade labor.

Responsibilities include coordinating with engineers and architects, reviewing changes, maintaining daily records, and ensuring compliance with contract documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of formal engineering or architectural experience and a minimum of six years of mechanical/electrical/plumbing construction experience.
• Knowledge of building construction, means and methods, scheduling and cost control procedures, general contract, general conditions, subcontract documents, drawings and specifications.
• Specific knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical Systems.
• Thorough knowledge of building information modeling and its use in coordination of the Mechanical and Electrical systems and other project systems.
• Proven written and verbal communication abilities; proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Managing and coordinating the work of subcontractors and Turner trade labor for MEPS systems.
• Ensuring safety, schedule delivery, quality of work, and adherence to budget.
• Supervising Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers and interns; conducting performance input.
• Developing schedules and sequencing of work; creating recovery strategies to maintain schedule.
• Coordinating with engineers/architects on field issues and resolving them.
• Managing billing processes and monthly estimates of work completed and subcontractor payments.
• Ensuring work conforms to contract documents and drawings.
• Leading inspections, startup, commissioning, turnover, and turnover training for all systems.
