Job summary

Jobot is recruiting an experienced MEP Superintendent for a large ground‑up commercial/entertainment project in the Los Angeles area. You will oversee the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing scopes on-site, directing a team to keep work on schedule and within budget.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in MEP supervision, deep MEP system knowledge, and a proven track record with complex projects. This role offers excellent compensation, benefits, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as an MEP superintendent or similar role in construction.
• Extensive knowledge of MEP systems including piping, pumps, mechanical and electrical components.
• Proven experience with structural components such as retaining walls and site work.
• Strong leadership and management ability to supervise skilled labor.
• Solid understanding of construction codes and regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving and quick issue resolution skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for diverse teams.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments and meet deadlines.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee MEP installation, coordinating materials, manpower, equipment and tools.
• Supervise MEP team including pipe fitters and electricians.
• Ensure safety, quality standards and code compliance on site.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and stakeholders on plans.
• Conduct inspections and audits of MEP systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve MEP issues (pipes, pumps, electrical, mechanical).
• Coordinate installation and maintenance of structural components.
