Job summary

Layton Construction Company is seeking a Senior MEP Project Manager to lead the planning, management and execution of data center construction projects. You will drive project budgets, schedules and risk management in coordination with the project superintendent and owner.

Responsibilities include preparing estimates, developing PMP, negotiating changes, coordinating permits, and ensuring quality and safety standards meet owner expectations. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field or equivalent education and experience.
• Six or more years of project management experience within Data Center Construction.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Knowledge of commercial construction processes, estimating concepts and contract language.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation of estimates for the project.
• Prepares project budgets and unit cost reports.
• Leads the project team in preparing the project management plan (PMP).
• Organizes and conducts pre-award and pre-construction meetings.
• Negotiates owner and subcontractor change orders and manages cost/profit impact.
• Develops and monitors project quality, safety, and risk management plans.
• Monitors site cost, safety, quality, and schedule with the project superintendent.
• Coordinates all final close out procedures for the project.
