Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to oversee planning, management, and execution of assigned construction projects, with potential responsibility for multiple projects. The role focuses on profitability, quality, and safety, aligning with owner expectations and Layton's goals.

Responsibilities include developing PMP, budgets, schedules, and collaboration with business development, vendors, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience.
• Minimum 4+ years PM experience in Data Center Construction.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Knowledge of commercial construction processes.
• Understanding of estimating concepts and change orders.
• Familiar with building codes and design requirements.
• Ability to read plans, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Self-starter who works independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing project estimates.
• Prepare project budgets and cost reports.
• Lead the project management plan (PMP) development.
• Participate in value engineering.
• Organize pre-award/pre-construction meetings.
• Negotiate subcontracts and manage change orders.
• Coordinate permits and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and monitor project schedules and milestones.
• Manage procurement within budget and schedule.
• Ensure quality, safety, and risk management plans.
